What's New Today ... This Week's New Pre-Orders!

Since last saturday the XV95 Ghostkeel is out in Games Workshop stores and independent stockists around the world... But that's not all, because this week there are loads more new kits available to pre-order!

"First up is the new plastic Fire Warriors kit, which enables you to build a Fire Warrior Strike Team or a Fire Warrior Breacher Team. It comes complete with a Guardian Drone to project a force field around the unit and a DS8 tactical support turret than can be dropped into battle alongside them. It's a fantastically versatile kit with loads of options including an arsenal of weapons, packs, pouches, high-tech wargear, variant heads and more. You can find out more in White Dwarf 90 and we'll be taking a closer look at them right here next week."

Long story short, here's the basics you need to know:

Fire Warriors Kit:
  • 10 Fire Warriors;
  • 1 DS8 Turret;
  • 2 Drones;
  • Strike Teams are armed with Pulse Rifles or Pulse Carbines (so, Old Fire Warriors...);
  • Breacher Teams are armed with Pulse Blasters...
Of course this kit deserves a more careful analysis , and this will be done very soon ...

But that's not all! Also available to pre-order this week are Infiltration Cadre Burning Dawn and Shadow Force Solaq, two great new forces that represent a skirmish in the ongoing war for the Damocles Gulf. Both feature an exclusive miniature – Captain Solaq of the Raven Guard in the Space Marines box and Aun'Do, an Ethereal, in the Tau force, plus a 32-page book filled with background, artwork, unit datasheets and new missions... Again here are the basics:

Infiltration Cadre Burning Dawn - Tau Boxed Set:

  • 19 Tau miniatures
  • 32 page campaign book
  • New Ethereal
  • 3 Stealth suits
  • 10 Pathfinders
  • 1 Piranha
  • 3 Drones
  • 1 Recon Drone

Shadow Force Solaq - Space Marines Boxed Set:
  • 19 Tau miniatures
  • 32 page campaign book
  • New Captain
  • 5 Vanguard Veterans
  • 5 Sterguard Veterans
  • 1 Land Speeder
But that wasn't the end of it... Introducing the Tidewall Rampart, an incredible set of Tau scenery. Yes, you read that right, Tau scenery, the first xenos terrain we've ever made. It's plastic, too, and you can move it during your battle, making it not just a defence line, but a mobile bastion. Make sure you come back next week to see more of this great new set...

Against a Tidewall Rampart, the enemies of the Tau Empire break like waves against a rocky shore. Safe upon its shieldline, Fire Warriors blaze away at their foe as their fortification steadily hovers across the battlefield... you know, all for the Greater Good...

Tidewall Rampart:
  • Tidewall Gunrig – section with twinlinked railgun turret
  • Tidewall Dronepoint – section with 4 detachable drones
  • Tidewall Shieldlines (x2) – section with defensive lasers
Components may be fielded individually, or combined to from the full Tidewall Rampart. Rules in the box

That Tidewall rampart seems really spicy! Its use as individual components will make it quite popular. We will have to wait and see if they offer the components in individual boxes down the road... But what about the its rules?

The Basics:
  • Yes it moves 6″ a turn!
  • Dudes on it reroll “1s” to hit
  • Watch out with those D shots becasue you may blow yourself to smithereens!
  • The twinlinked railgun can be fired at +1BS AND Tankhunter-Monsterhunter each turn!
It seems like a pretty bargain priced for what you get.... Gee thanks, GW! I can't wait to ge...oh wait... Did I mention that ran out within a few hours ??!!

And also in the pre-orders you will find the Tau Empire T'au Sept Decals and also the third book in the Realmgate Wars series: Hammers of Sigmar. It contains two stories about Sigmar's first Stormhost as they battle the forces of Chaos. There's even a special edition available, though you'll have to head over to Black Library to get your hands on it. Be quick, though, because once it's gone, it's gone.

Well, I guess that's everything for today... Thank you for your time and until the next publication
