So, let me break it down... first, the Tactical Supremacy:

Maelstrom missions re-done?

Looking to spice-up your game? Games Workshop now has some new “Tactical Supremacy” Objectives for you to fight over!

Just like before: Maelstrom missions re-done?

BoLS has a nice quick review of this new objectives in here. In short, this is a another attempt to  help make the “same old game” feel fresh... since all the new codexes, campgain books and supplements, and the Maelstrom cards by the way, aren't enough any more... Sigh!

So, now back to the Orks and the Tau, lets see what we got... first, Da Orks!

It’s Warboss Grukk and he’s BACK with some friends to bring the WAAAGH!

Warboss Grukk's Boss-Mob combines the Grukk Face-Rippa model, previously only availabçe in the Stormclaw boxed set, with a mob of five Ork Nobz... all for £32,50 (about US $50), wich is about right if we consider Grukk's price to be around £15,5. And what about his rules?

Grukk is certainly no slouch in close combat. His Warlord Trait is basically a free boss pole for all friendly ork units within 12″ – and you don’t have to knock any heads to do it. He’s not a bad unique warboss to have in your back pocket. Plus it looks like we might get a formation of him with his Nobz as well, althoug I have no idea if this is the case and, if soo, what are they, but next comes what has left me interessed:

It’s almost like GW is trying to get new players into Orks with these releases…

Lets see, we have:
  • 1 Painboy;
  • 5 Nobz;
  • 11 Boyz, the usual box only brings 10 soo I've no idea if that's really the case or if they're including the bits to built an Nob;
  • And a Deff Dread.
And all for £50! Considering the prices of each set, you pratically gain a free Deff Dread... nice! I just wonder what will be this formation's exclusive rule...

We is gonna stomp da universe flat and kill anyfink that fights back. we're da Orks, and was made ta fight and win.

And finally the new Waaagh Ghazghkull, a softcover 80 page update of the Ghaz supplemental codex. The missions formations and rules have been collated together from the previously published “The Red Waaagh” and “Hour of the Wolf”. So if you missed those, you can grab this one and WAAAGH withe the best of them.

Now, about the "new" Tau stuff... Let's start with the Farsight Enclaves Supplement:

Farsight Bomb inbound!

Just like the Ghazghkull supplement, you get an 80 page re-release of the Farsight Enclaves Supplemental codex in softcover. This one is essentially a standalone compilation of the Farsight rules and formations from theMont’ka campaign book. So if you skipped that and love O’Shovah, pick up this budget edition.

About the "new" Tau Coalition Command, for about US $60, is a quick and easy combo box for all your Tau commander needs. You get the new Commander and the plastic Etherial previously released in the fall. There is no word on accompanying rules or a formation for this, but that does seem to be the way of these boxes from GW these days.

And, finally, the big Teaser which is making everyone talking about...

Which every rumormonger and thier brother has been saying is Deathwatch… but personally I'm not so sure, here's why:

The Maybe List:
  • Necrons (More silver than balck I reckon);
  • Sisters of Battle (Keep dreaming... also, traditionally more black and red, although it depends on the scheme you chosed...);
  • Chaos Space Marines (Black Legion? More black and gold but ok...);
  • Specific Space Marine Chapters/Off-shoots :

  1. Iron Hands (more likelly in my opinon...);
  2. Ravenguard (So soon after the Mont'ka book?);
  3. Ravenwing (Usually more black and white, so no);
  4. Deathwatch (I wish, but not so sure...).
Since these releases we've seen are re -issues of previously existing themes , I began to wonder if GW would stop here (or not). I remembered that there is (or once existed ) an Iron Hands supplement: Clan Raukaan - A Codex: Space Marines Supplement , and something tells me that will do the same as they did with the Farsight and Ghazghkull supplements ... who knows there may be a Iron Hands' character at the door ...

"Famed for harnessing the power of bionics over flesh, the Iron Hands are the most calculating and merciless of all the Space Marine Chapters."

I guess that's all for now. Thank you for your time and hoping to write to you soon.
