What's to Come: Wolves & Daemons and More...

Hello hello, it has been a while and oh man... there's a lot to talk about...

"For Russ and the Allfather"... or some sort of a feral howl...

Since the release of the next WD issue (February 6th), that everyone knows that the wulfen are about to come and it even generated Some rumors that GW was preparing to create an "End Times" series for 40k, although I personally find it pretty far-fetched ... What one knows best , so far, are some of the expected releases and some of the rules, and that is what I 'll share with you now, starting with pictures, and prices, of the new wulfen/Space Wolves products to come:

11 new products are debuting in 2016 – 40k is returning with a large bang, and also with loys of fur...

Unfortunately there seems to not be any new models for the daemons with this new campaign ... perhaps we will see a new daemon in the coming weeks ... but at least we have some news related to the rules!

Rejoice followers of the Dark Gods for they have blessed us with their devious minions once more! Come see the new Daemons and more!
Looks like the Daemons are back! Here’s the lastest on their new rules:

     Via Astropate (1-28-2016)

Here we can already see two of 10 new formations for Chaos Daemons.
Murderhorde
1 Herald of Khorne or Skulltaker 6 (?) of the following: Blood Khorne guzzlers Khorne Khorne Slayers The rules of formation are too small to read them clearly, but one of them is something that takes effect within 12 “. Restrictions: None.
Gorethunder Battery
1 Herald of Khorne 3 Cannons Skull Training has three special rules . The first is called Bearers of War Khorne and refers to another page, so it is possible that it is a special rule also present in other units / formations. The second allows Cannons Skull shoot together. They have the same profile of the weapon, but they shoot with an Area Apocalyptic.
The third is unreadable.
Restrictions: The Herald can be put on Throne of Blood or Juggernaut.
Well that’s quite a surprise. Looks like it is Daemons and Space Wolves together for this release. Right now it is not clear if there will be Daemon releases, however it appears there will more more than just the Wulfen for release on the Space Wolves side.
We did see from late last week that their may be a decurion for the Daemons as well. That appears to not be in White Dwarf #106
And for the wolves fans, come see the new rules:

Weapons of the Wulfen! OOH magic ice claws that never melt!

It appears the “curse” has benefits…

And the Wulfen themselves...

Well now that we have these bad boys, the Wulfen are looking even better. +2 points for assault grenades that while they may not shoot them, overwatch is always good. Plus checkout the “reaping swing” rule on the Frost Axe, that may change some folks outlook on how to equip these guys as well.

Another rule of note is the Bounding leap, which appears to only confer to the Wulfen themselves and not any units that join them. Either way these guys can move fast when paired with the Rapid Maneuver warlord trait from the Dark Angels while accompanied by their warlord.

Also, get ready to run or form vehicle walls becasue these guys are going to get your lines turn 2 at the latest! My question is – where did they get all the new Space Wolves gear – these guys have been lost for 10,000 years. If anything they should be roaring out of the Eye of Terror on beat up Jetbikes and Sicarans!

Meanwhile, from Forge World Studios two new appearances, one of them just this morning… first, the Horus Heresy Book Six is officially announced!

From Chris Thomas over at Forgeworld:

“I only managed to get a quick look inside, but it is absolutely packed with Legion rules, units, rights of war and more. I can’t wait to get my hands on it, and I’m told that a limited number should be available at The Horus Heresy Weekender. Don’t worry if you’re not going to be at the weekender though, I hear that The Horus Heresy Book Six – Retribution is expected to be released very soon after the event.”
The cover art looks fantastic, as usual.

And a new Khornate "thing" has showed up just this morning... It's the "beauty" wich you can see bellow...

He’s got a face only a mother could love...

THE FACE OF RAGE AND WRATH!
There are some truly gruesome monsters and daemons in the Warhammer Age of Sigmar range from Forge World, but I caught sight of something even more terrifying this week. When this new beast hits the battlefield, his foes will be scattering across the realms!
If you’re lucky enough to be heading to Adepticon in Chicago this March, make sure you act quickly to place your orders for collection. It’s the best way to get exactly what you want from Forge World, but you’ve only got until Sunday 7th February to place your order. Make sure you’ve selected the US as your delivery country and you’ll see Adepticon as a shipping destination – and with free shipping too!
That’s all from me for now. Make sure you check back soon for more from the Forge World Studio.

About this new miniature there isn't much to be said... but note the following:

  • It has the manicles you see on some of the AoS Khorne champions.
  • It looks to be wearing some type of ornate collar (giant Collar of Khorne perhaps)
  • It has large armor plates across its back and shoulders
  • Hand to hand weapon in the extreme fireground, slightly blurry
  • Assyetrical broken and twisted horns

It looks more like some type of Khornate Chaos Giant/Monster than a Daemon of some sort to me.

I guess that's all for now. Thank you for your time and hoping to write to you soon.
